Vacancies in community based non-profit housing groups can change from day-to-day. Currently it is relatively easy to obtain a house or apartment if you are able to pay the full market rent or charge. However, if you need financial assistance with your rent there may be a significant waiting period, especially for one and two bedroom suites, for example, Kingston waiting lists for assisted housing have doubled in the last few years to over 1200 households.
