A co-operative voice in the Seaway Valley region, the SVCO is used by local housing co-ops as a focal point  to represent the interests of housing co-operatives throughout the area. SVCO is dedicated specifically to our needs for local networking, to share ideas for 'best practices', solve joint problems and to provide a common focus in promoting co-operative enterprise in housing  in our region.

The main purpose of the SVCO is to bring together the widest variety of housing co-operators and to provide a platform which represents housing co-ops in our region.

Current issues up for discussion at the SVCO are the Federal/Provincial downloading, 'Best Buy' ideas for joint purchasing, and Capital planning for Reserve Fund investing and the CHFC plan for Direct Management of co-ops.

Co-op networking, through the SVCO, stimulates the creation and sharing of ideas for healthy well managed housing co-operatives.
